What is Glad You Liked?
Glad You Liked is a website for giving experiences and handmade pieces from independent local makers. You choose a maker in the city where the person lives, pick a class, a tasting or a piece, and send it as a gift certificate. They redeem it with the maker: in person, or online for a few shops that deliver. It is run by Serra GCVC OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia.
What is a maker?
A maker is an independent local business we choose by hand: a studio, a kitchen, a roastery, a wine shop, a jeweller or a class teacher. Each one has its own page with its story, its gifts and its prices. We visit or call every maker before their page goes live.
How does a gift work?
Pick the city, the maker and the gift, add a note, and send it by email, WhatsApp or a link, now or on a date you choose. The person gets a gift page, books a time with the maker, and shows the QR code or says the code when they arrive. If you are not sure what they would like, send a gift card and they choose.
Which cities?
Barcelona (5 makers), Tbilisi (3 makers) and Mexico City (2 makers). Madrid is next: we are signing makers there now. You can buy from any country; the gift is used where the person lives.
How much do gifts cost?
Prices are set by each maker in their local currency, and the site shows an approximate amount in yours. Barcelona: €10–€199, gift cards from €30. Tbilisi: 90 ₾–180 ₾, gift cards from 140 ₾. Mexico City: MX$300–MX$4,593, gift cards from MX$600. You pay by card.
How long is a gift valid?
12 months from purchase. If no date works for them, or something goes wrong with the maker, we help move it to another maker in the same city within the 12 months, up to the same value. If a maker closes, they swap to another maker and we add a bonus to the value.
What happens if a gift is never used?
When the 12 months end, the buyer gets the unused value back as Glad You Liked credit, to spend on another gift. Glad You Liked credit never expires.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of buying and the gift has not been redeemed. After 14 days there are no refunds, but if no date works we help move the gift to another maker in the same city. The rules are in the terms of sale.
Do you do company gifts?
Yes, for teams in Barcelona. You set a budget per person (€30, €40, €60 or any amount from €30), add your logo and a date, and each colleague gets a private link to pick their own gift. You pay 50% up front and the rest after the date on one VAT invoice. There is no platform fee. Anyone who has not chosen by the date gets a gift card. See Glad You Liked for companies.
Can we do Secret Santa with experiences?
Yes, with Glad Swap. It is free to start: the organiser shares one link, we draw names, and everyone sees the wishes of the person they are gifting. Each person pays only for the gift they give, and every gift arrives on the same day. In Barcelona €30–50 covers most tastings and classes. There is also a free name draw if you only need the draw. Can several people chip in for one gift?
Yes, with Glad Group Gift. One person starts it and shares a link, each friend pays their share by card, and the gift arrives from everyone. If the group raises less than the gift costs, the organiser can top up, choose something cheaper, or send an open gift certificate for the amount raised.
